Good morning!
Greetings in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Mathew 5:14-16)
You, who are faithful, are the light of the world. Like a town built on a hill, which cannot be hidden, those are truly faithful in God will be seen by the world. Nobody put a lamp under a bowl. God also does not put the faithful under a bowl because it is not His Will and Purpose. However, sometime we experience that we are under a bowl where a darkness prevails with trails and hardships. The darkness seems staying with us long. In reality, He makes it as short as possible. Throughout the process, we are cleaned and purified. As many of us have already realized when we look back, during this difficult time, He pays the highest level of care and love on us. He carefully and constantly adjusts the knob of our trails and tailors the hardship from behind the scene. His goal is to make us fully ready for truly shining the light for Him. As the above scripture says, People see our good deeds, and glorifies the Father in heaven, which is the purpose of Our God.
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:5-8)
Jesus was the very example of the light. Jesus, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God. Rather He made Himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, and humbled himself by becoming obedient to death on the cross for our sins and transgressions, because He loved us so much as to give Himself as sacrifice. Before the cross, He foresaw a beautiful scene of the Heaven, where with Him we would sing praise forever in our Father’s house.
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11)
Therefore God, the Father, exalted Him, and made every knee bow at the name of Jesus, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. Every tongue shall acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, and glorify the name of God, the Father. This is the eventual scene that we will see when we return to our eternal home, the Heaven. We, His children, will inherit these riches and glory together with those who are in Heaven ahead of us. Praise God, the Father, Jesus, the Son, and Holy Spirit! His Mercy and Love endures forever!
Everyday, we are carrying our own small cross that God allows to have, and following the foot steps of Jesus Christ – humbling ourselves, being patient in trials and hardships with faith, and fixing eyes on Jesus on cross, the perfecter and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:1,2). Surely, we do trust and believe in God in every moment with confidence because Jesus, His Only Begotten Son, had experienced all our toils and hardships on earth, and even the death on the cross. Our crosses are really minuscule, but together with the cross of Jesus Christ, they will shine like a lamp on its stand. Let’s keep the faith in Him, and believe His infinite goodness in every situation because you are His light.
