Good morning!
Greetings in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; (Isiah 49:16a)
God loves His own children. We are His joy. He loves to see us and hear our voice. He could not take off His eyes on us. He even has engraved us on the palms of His hands. Nothing can be between God and us.
Apostle Paul wrote in Romans as follows:
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. (Romans 8:31-34)
Thus, nothing dears to be against us. Some of us has heavy burdens in lives introduced by past faults, mistakes, wrong decisions, wrong doings, and/or sinning before God and others, because these are restlessly accusing in hearts. However, God did for us one marvelous thing – did not spare even his own Son, Jesus Christ. He put all our wrong doings, transgressions and sins on Him, and sacrificed Him on cross as an atonement for all of us. Thus, all of condemnations that we need to receive were given to Jesus, and He became the ultimate sacrifice for all our sins and transgressions. He paid all our sins on cross, and made us free. Yes, now we are from the bondage of all our past wrong doings, sins and transgressions. From now on, there is no more condemnation for us, accepting Jesus as our savior.
Additionally, He rose again in third day after being crucified on cross. He conquered the death, which is the enemy that nobody has ever overcome. All humanity were defeated under the power of the death, but Jesus became the first fruit of resurrection, and all who believe in Him will receive the same resurrection. Now the Risen Lord is stilling in the place of throne of God’s right hand, and interceding for us. What a comforting truth to us! There is no more condemnation forever because Jesus is our savior, and Jesus, the Risen Lord, is sitting on the throne of God’s right hand and continue interceding us.
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. (Romans 8:35-37)
Our sins are completely forgiven by Jesus Christ, and will live forever with Our Lord. This is the greatest among all the messages ever existed in our human history. Nobody has been above the heavy burdens coming from sins. We fall short of the glory of God, and our sinfulness hostages us and put us under the bondage of sins. Nobody has been capable of overcoming sins and the bondage of the sins by one’s own might. Only Jesus Christ, the Savior, was able to overcome because He and only He was sinless, and conquered the power of sins, and open the new chapter of salvation to all humanity. This is the most precious and priceless truth. It is so precious that there is no way to purchase it. This is a gift of God. Yes, our salvation is freely given to anyone who accept Jesus Christ as the Savior and believe in Him. It is also unconditional. No matter how sinful we were, as soon as we accept Jesus as our savior, all of our past sins are forgiven. (As matter of fact, our present and future sins are also forgiven through His unmatchable grace and love.)
Surely, we will meet troubles and hardships, and even are persecuted more because of one simple reason that we believe God and keep His Word. This world is not so friendly to us, believers. There has been and will be a constant battle between believers and the rest. The rest do everything that make us to fail, as simple as taking away our joy in Christ by introducing pains in our lives. We cannot avoid. This happen virtually in every part of our lives, such as a work place, a family and friend gathering. Even so, we don’t lose our heart. Jesus has gone before us, and he has already won the battle. How? He did it on the cross, and declared the victory: ..“It is finished”… (John 19:30b) Give thanks to God! Jesus won the ultimate battle.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)
Why did God sacrifice His Son for us? Because of His Love. Yes, God loved us. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) Through His love, God gives an eternal life to us, and take away the enormous weight of our sins, transgressions and wrong doings especially before God. God’s love is the key and the very source of the unthinkable grace (the fee gift) of God.
God’s Love, in facts, is associated with the true and very nature of God. Thus, it cannot be touched by anything that we know, imagine or even beyond that we cannot imagine. The guarantor of the grace is God, Himself. All creations are under Him. All seemingly impossible for us is nothing before Him. Yes, we often confront with events that is beyond our control, and we realize how helpless we are. We feel like a small boat tossed around in a stormy night. Even in this moment, God is with us.
What we need is to fix our eyes on Jesus Christ, who is the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. Then see Jesus Christ’s right hand that is already stretched to us, and waiting for us. Simply reaching out our hand to Him. Then He will hold tight with His loving and mighty hand. The life storm around us will soon become calm, and we will find ourselves in His bosom full of love, comfort and peace. This is the assurance that we can get in any types of life storms. Praise the LORD! God’s Love never fails and endures forever. Nothing on earth, angels or even death cannot separate us from His Love.
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (1 John 3:1a)
